- Assuming the alcoves on either side of a chimney breast are the same size; they almost never are

How the job runs from first call to guarantee
Your call and initial questions
You ring 07901 993084 or send the estimate form. We ask enough about the property, the scope and your timescale to know whether the job suits us and when we could realistically start. If it is not work we can do well, we say so at that point rather than after a wasted visit.
Free site visit and measure
We come out and measure the actual space. Site visits are arranged as quickly as the size and complexity of the job allow, and they cost nothing. Measuring on site is what makes a fixed price possible, walls are rarely square, and photographs hide the details that change a price.
Design conversation and fixed price
We talk through layout, proportions, door styles, materials and finish as part of the free quotation, what fits, what is worth the money and what is not. Where the scope is clear the written price is fixed.
Build, fit and scribe
Carcasses are built and fitted, then scribed to the walls, floor and ceiling so the unit meets the room without gaps. Fixings go back to timber or structure, doors and drawers are adjusted on site, and everything is left ready for finishing or decoration.
Handover, tidy-up and 12-month guarantee
We walk the finished work with you, deal with anything you are not happy with there and then, and clear the site. Our workmanship is covered by a 12-month guarantee on issues arising directly from our installation. Full warranty terms are confirmed as part of your quotation.

Materials, methods and variations of cabinetry
The material and construction choices in fitted furniture decide both how it looks on day one and whether it still looks that way after years of use.
Materials we work with
MDF and MRMDF
The standard for painted cabinetry: stable, machines cleanly, and takes a sprayed or brushed paint finish better than timber. Moisture-resistant grades where humidity is a factor.
Birch and hardwood plywood
Strong, light and stable carcass material where shelves carry weight over a span, or where an exposed ply edge is part of the look.
Solid hardwood
Oak and similar for face frames, door frames, worktops and anything left natural or oiled.
Veneered boards and laminates
Factory finishes where a consistent colour or wood grain is wanted without on-site spraying.
Hinges, runners and fixings
Soft-close hinges and drawer runners rated for the load, and wall fixings chosen for masonry, dot-and-dab or stud.
