Terms & Conditions

How our quotations, work and workmanship guarantee operate. The terms confirmed in your written quotation always take precedence.

Last updated: 2026

1. About these terms

These terms apply to the use of this website and to joinery, carpentry, kitchen installation and related work carried out by Impact Joinery, 29 Tinto Drive, Cumbernauld, Glasgow. Where a written quotation or contract has been issued for your job, the terms in that document take precedence over anything on this page.

2. Quotations and pricing

  • Quotations are free of charge and are provided after a site visit wherever practical.
  • A fixed price is given where the scope of work can be clearly established. Where it cannot, for example when the extent of hidden damage is unknown until work begins, pricing may be on a day rate or subject to a stated assumption.
  • A fixed price covers only the work described in the quotation. Additional work, changes requested after acceptance, or conditions that could not reasonably have been identified at the quoting stage will be priced separately and agreed with you before proceeding.
  • Quotations are valid for the period stated on the document.

3. Accepting a quotation

A contract is formed when you accept our quotation in writing, by email or message, and we confirm the booking. Start dates are given in good faith and may be affected by material lead times, access to the property, weather on external work, or the progress of other trades.

4. Materials and supply

  • We mainly supply and fit, including kitchens from suppliers such as Howdens, and we can also fit items you have bought yourself.
  • Goods supplied by us carry the manufacturer's own warranty. Where you supply the materials, we are not responsible for defects, shortages or unsuitability in those items.
  • Timber is a natural material and some movement, grain and colour variation is normal.

5. Other trades

Where plumbing, electrical or other specialist work is required, we bring in qualified tradespeople and coordinate them so you keep one point of contact. Those trades certify their own work under their own registrations.

6. Access and site conditions

You agree to provide reasonable access to the property during agreed working hours, along with power and water where needed. Please clear the working area of belongings before we arrive. Delays caused by lack of access may affect the programme and, where significant, the price.

7. Payment

Payment terms, any deposit or staged payments, and accepted payment methods are set out in your quotation or invoice. Ownership of materials supplied by us passes to you once payment has been received in full.

8. Workmanship guarantee

We provide a 12-month workmanship guarantee covering issues arising directly from our installation or workmanship. It does not cover customer damage, normal wear and tear, misuse, or defects in materials supplied by the customer or a third party. Full warranty terms are confirmed as part of your quotation. To make a claim, contact us on 07901 993084 or at mark.marchbank@icloud.com with details and photographs where possible.

9. Insurance and liability

Public liability insurance is in place; policy details are available on request. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded under UK law. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.

10. Cancellation

Consumers who agree a contract away from our business premises generally have a 14-day right to cancel. If you ask us to begin work within that period and then cancel, we may charge for the work already carried out and for bespoke or made-to-measure items already ordered or produced. Please give as much notice as possible if you need to change a booked date.

11. Website content

Content on this website is provided for information only and does not constitute a quotation. Text and images on the site remain our property or that of their owners and may not be reproduced without permission.

12. Complaints and governing law

If something is not right, tell us first and we will work to resolve it. These terms are governed by Scots law and the Scottish courts have jurisdiction. Questions? Contact us.
